Robert Louis Woolwich, 74, of Southport passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 at SECU Hospice of Brunswick in Bolivia.

Mr. Woolwich was born November 29, 1942, son of the late Sidney and Edith James Woolwich. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Woolwich retired from New York Telephone Company and enjoyed his retirement years playing golf, traveling, and woodworking. He built a woodworking shop in which to enjoy his hobby of building cabinetry and furniture. He loved watching the NY Yankees and NY Giants while appreciating Southport as his home for 22 years. Mr. Woolwich was preceded in death by his son James John Woolwich.

Survivors include his wife Monica Curley Woolwich of Southport; children, Robert Louis Woolwich, Jr. of Wantagh, New York and Kerry Ann Couture and her husband Pierre of Garden City, New York; grandchildren, Sarah and Julie Couture; sister Doris Woolwich of San Jose, California: sister in law, Eileen Sebber of Massapequa, New York; several nieces and nephews; his beloved canine companions, Coco and Noel and feline companions, Blue, Fritz, and Smokey.

Graveside services will be 11:00am Friday, January 13, 2017 at Northwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Air Force.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport.
