Carol Peckham Poulos

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ellen Cook. She was a life-long resident of Wantagh, a 1958 graduate of Wantagh High, Trustee of the Wantagh Preservation Society, and Vice Regent of the Jerusalem Chapter of the DAR. She epitomized what it means to be a Wantaghite. She loved Wantagh and constantly gave back to her town. Ellen captivated everyone’s attention when she shared her memories of people and events in Wantagh. No one enjoyed talking more about Wantagh history or could captivate one’s attention relating a story like Ellen. We will all miss her and give our condolences to her family.
