January 18, 1957 – April 10, 2018

Kathleen “Kathy” McGrath Fichera of Cary, NC, 61 declared victory over cancer and was fully healed by the Lord in His presence on April 10, 2018. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at New Horizons Fellowship located at 820 E Williams Street Apex, NC 27502 on Saturday April 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm.

Kathy was a devoted wife to her best friend, Rick Fichera. Kathy was a loving and proud mother to son Randy Fichera and wife Lori Carson Fichera, daughter Kimberly Fichera Norton and husband Josh Norton. She loved and adored being “Nana” to her two grandsons, Bryson and Easton Norton. Kathy is survived by mother-in-law, Sandra Fichera and brother-in-law, Scott Fichera. Her memory and legacy will continue to be carried on by many close friends who she considered family.

Kathy will forever be remembered for the way she loved Jesus fiercely, her contagious smile that could light up a room, and for her passion to connect with people, especially her family.

The Fichera family offers a special thank you to the entire neuroscience floor of UNC Hospital and the staff of Transitions LifeCare.
