October 5, 1953- January 29, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jill Massa, 70 on January 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She left this world after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born on October 5, 1953 to Elaine and Lester Dannen in Wantagh. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful experiences. Her legacy will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She loved to go out with her husband and friends to concerts and lectures. There was something she could find to do almost every day either on the Island or in New York City. She and her husband spent many nights attending plays, concerts, and opera. Jill also loved art. She frequently attended art history lectures at local libraries.

Jill was an avid reader. She was interested in history, biographies, and current events.

Jill Massa is survived by her husband, Michael, and her daughter, Stephanie. She will be dearly missed and remembered for her engaging personality, kindness, and generosity.

The funeral service to honor and celebrate Jill Massa’s life will be held on February 9th at Macken Mortuary in Rockville Centre. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their memories of her.

Visitation will be held, Friday, February 9, 2024, 2:00pm – 7:00pm with a brief prayer service from 2:30pm – 3:00pm, at Macken Mortuary, 52 Clinton Avenue, Rockville Centre, NY 11570.
