August 24, 1968 ~ May 2, 2024

Our beloved father, brother, and friend, Gerard A. Wolfe Jr. (Jerry), unexpectedly passed away from coronary and respiratory arrest on May 2nd. Jerry was a kind and thoughtful man, passionate about helping others. His memory will forever remain a cherished part of those he leaves behind.

Jerry was born in Queens, NY, on August 24th, 1968, to Gerard A. Wolfe Sr. and Joanne (Wolfinger) Wolfe. He was the oldest sibling to brothers Michael and Christopher. After graduating from Wantagh High School in 1986, he proudly served in the Marines. Following his military service, Jerry worked as an officer at Rikers Corrections Facilities, where he dedicated himself to his duties before retiring.

Jerry lived in Winter Springs, FL, with two of his sons, Logan and Connor. Family was everything to Jerry, and he made every holiday or family gathering a memorable event, cherishing those moments deeply. A hard worker, Jerry volunteered his time to help those in need around him. He had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went, whether it was with a 7/11 clerk or someone standing in line at an amusement park, often calling them by their first names within minutes of meeting them. Jerry was an exemplary father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Christmas time was his favorite, and he would start prepping his North pole village months before, bringing joy to the neighborhood children. His talent in creating his North pole village was exceptional, often leaving it up all year for his kids to enjoy when they visited.

Jerry is survived by his loving brother Christopher Wolfe, his cherished children Jacklyn Whitley, Patrick Wolfe, Bailie Sparks (Zach Sparks), Logan Wolfe, and Connor Wolfe, and grandchildren Quinn Whitley, Stella Sparks, and Emery Sparks. He was preceded in death by his son David Wolfe, brother Michael Wolfe, father, Gerard A. Wolfe Sr., and mother Joanne (Wolfinger) Wolfe, may they reunite in eternal peace.

Jerry will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though we mourn his passing, we take solace in the knowledge that his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A service will be held on Friday, 05/10/2024.
