December 24, 1944 ~ August 14, 2024

Joseph R. Russo, 79, a resident of Bohemia, LI for more than fifty years, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.  Raised in Queens, Mr. Russo served in the US Army and worked as a facilities manager for many years here on Long Island.  He was an avid New York Islander fan and was proud to have served as the President of the Connetquot Hockey Club.  Joseph also loved John Wayne movies and M.A.S.H. reruns.

Mr. Russo is survived by his wife, Karen, his two children, Tina Garcia of Bohemia and Joseph Russo and his wife Katherine of Manhasset, as well as his grandchildren, Anthony, Kyle, Kylie and Samuel.  He was predeceased by his grandson, Tyler.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, August 18th, 3-7 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville where a service will be held at 6 p.m.  Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
