It is with heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Gerard R. Trinkle on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY. He was surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Herman A. and Geradine F. (Thompson) Trinkle, he was born on October 23, 1942, in Jamaica, NY and was 79 years old.

Gerard was a Sergeant for N.Y.P.D. 52nd Precinct in New York, NY. After he retired, he became a Senior Salesman for Pitney Bowes in Cherry Hill, NJ. He was also a proud member of Sacred Heart Church in Monroe, NY. Gerard was adored by his children and grandchildren. In his younger days, he was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf in his later part of his life. His most recent pastime included scratch offs and slot machines.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Christine (Eifert) Trinkle of Monroe, NY; children: Scott Trinkle and his wife, Michele of East Stroudsburg, PA; Douglas Trinkle and his wife, Jennifer of Boulder City, NV; William Trinkle and his wife, Nicole of Gardner, NY; Denise Trinkle of Monroe, NY; Diane Trinkle of Wallkill, NY; and Linda Niles of Irving, TX; siblings: Peter Trinkle of Gulf Port, FL; Richard Zitrick of Sinking Springs, PA; James Zitrick of Irving, TX; and MarieAnn Long of Chambersburg, PA; and by his beloved grandchildren: Alexa, Kyle, Madison, Elias, Savannah, Mason, Brayden, Jaxon, Jameson, Maggie, Madyson, Matthew, Amaya, and Emmie. In addition to his parents, Gerard was also predeceased by his brothers: Robert Trinkle and John Zitrick and his grandson, Maddox.
