John B., passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022. Born February 11, 1943 in Freeport, NY, and grew up in Wantagh, NY. Jack loved to play baseball as a child and even learned to tap dance. He danced so well, he tapped his way onto TV! He graduated Wantagh High School and married the love of his life, high school sweetheart, Patricia Bogen in 1963 and later moved to Seaford in 1970 to raise their two children. Some of his pursuits in life included working at Jones Beach in the summers, Tempo Instruments in Bayshore and then in 1967… Jack Rayne joined the family business at Commercial Driver Training, located in West Babylon, NY, as an office manager and later became a CDL Driver Instructor of Tractor Trailers and Trucks. Jack mastered the CDL industry and became President of Commercial Driver Training, Inc. (CDT), where he would lay the groundwork for one the largest CDL schools in the tri-state area. Through his outstanding leadership and dedication, CDT is now the industry leader for CDL training with more than 60 years of experience with quality instruction and state of the art equipment. Up until his death, he ran CDT with his son, Scott, who will continue to uphold the integrity and values instilled at CDT. He will be dearly missed by his CDT Family. His many hobbies included riding his motorcycle, woodworking, and boating on the Great South Bay. He later settled down in Nokomis, FL, where he enjoyed fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Jack also took pride in his antique MG car and won many trophies. Jack was known to many for his outstanding laugh, his gentle nature and his zest for life. He was loved by so many and had a great impact on all who knew him. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia of 59 years; his loving son, Scott Rayne; daughter, Patricia (Trish) Wright; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
