December 15, 1944 – May 19, 2026

Dianne was born in Bainbridge, Maryland, on December 15, 1944, to Hans (Bob) and Carla Zawar. Following World War II, her family resided in various cities in upstate New York before settling on Long Island. After graduating from Wantagh High School, she attended the State University of New York at Geneseo. It was there she met William (Bill) Hutchison, and the two were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1965.
Dianne earned her B.S. and M.S. in Speech Pathology in 1966 and 1967. The couple then moved to Iowa City, Iowa, where Dianne worked for the Marengo County public schools and at the University of Iowa Hospital School, specializing in care for children with cerebral palsy. In 1972, they moved to Oxford, Ohio, where both Dianne and Bill taught at Miami University (Ohio). Their family became complete with the births of their children, Bryan in 1972 and Jennifer in 1975. In 1987, Dianne began her career with the Butler County Board of MRDD, from which she retired in 2006. In 2007, she and her husband, Bill moved to Houston, Texas, to provide daycare for their beloved grandchildren. She and Bill also spent several years volunteering at the Hope Center in Houston, a drop-in center for the homeless until 2020 when the covid pandemic changed everything. In 2023, they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, to remain close to their family.
Dianne was a woman of profound faith and a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She was passionate about music, volunteering, and spending time at the beach. Above all, she cherished her time with her grandchildren—Kylee, Liam, and Connor—believing that they completed life’s circle of love. Her legacy is one of service, family, and deep affection for those she held dear.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Carla Zawar. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; her children, Bryan (Ali) Hutchison and Jennifer Mayfield (Grant); and her three grandchildren, Kylee, Liam, and Connor Hutchinson, as well as her sister, Barbara Harvey.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Bartholomeus Episcopal Church on June 20, 2026 beginning at 3:00 PM.
