October 9, 1957 ~ July 30, 2022

Stephen “Steve” R. Hohn, 64, of Whitesboro and formerly of Waterville, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2022. He was born on October 9, 1957, in Harrisburg PA, a son of the late Russell and Nancy (Harnish) Hohn.

Steve worked for Buckeye Pipeline Company, for 45 years where he filled the position of Resident Delivery Person. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist, where he played guitar in the band. Stephen loved spending time with his grandkids, teaching them how to hunt and fish. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed spending his free time riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoying life. Steve loved people and never met a stranger. He was fond of telling stories, without leaving out any details. He never hesitated to help someone in need; be it friends, family, or community. Steve had many friends his presence will be dearly missed.

Steve is survived by his children, Christopher (Michelle) Hohn, Tracy (Jarrod) Stewart, Jillian Hohn (Christopher), and Jessica Hohn (Zachary); grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Jacob, Kyra, Brayden, Ashlyn, Alexander, Hailey, Emma, Bentley, and Cooper; sister, Robin (Paul) Owens; brother, Scott Hohn; as well as Diane Hohn, who was always there throughout his life.

The family would like to thank his good friend, Bill Atwell for all that he has done for them over the years; Bill Kolwaite, Jr. and all his friends at Buckeye; members of the Trinity United Methodist Church for their support; the first responders from Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corp and Officer Scerbo of the Whitesboro Police Department.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 6th from 4-7 PM at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc. Whitesboro. A service for Stephen will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitesboro on Sunday, August 7th at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, NY, in Stephens’s name, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
